Parts of Maine could get a couple inches of rain very quickly Thursday and we are watching the track of Tropical Storm Henri

Thanks for watching our meteorologist Jacqueline thomas heading through the day today, tracking some heavy pelting and tropical downpours i to 3 inches of rain possible. And nosotros have a flash flood lookout man in effect across the area because of this heavy rain and the heavy rainfall rates that could dump a lot of rain in simply a short period of time. And then this includes interior your Cumberland County'southward Androscoggin Canton, back through southern Oxford Counties and a practiced portion of southern New Hampshire as well, all included in that flash flood sentinel. So, hr by 60 minutes heading through the afternoon, nosotros're going to come across these periods of heavy rain and yous may go a light shower and then all of a sudden the pelting starts coming down every bit one of these heavier bands sets upwardly. And so keep that in mind. If you have to travel at all through the afternoon and evening hours, you may encounter reduced visibility in these downpours and the heavy rainfall and the ponding on roadways could also lead to some hydroplaning likewise with the wet roads expected to so keep that in mind and of course never try to drive through whatever flooded roadways every bit nosotros head through the residual of the afternoon and evening though, this continues to track east and this is all the remnants of what was tropical storm fred and we have a very moist air mass in place, a lot of humidity in the air, you can feel the moisture that nosotros have out there and that's all helping to enhance this rainfall that we are getting with the remnants continuing to track through that starts to air current down tardily tonight as we head over nighttime into the mean solar day. On friday. So tomorrow forenoon maybe a lingering shower in spots. But nearly of the day friday ends up being much quieter and drier, peculiarly by the afternoon when nosotros could get into some breaks of sun. And then as we head through the day today, generally one to 3 inches of pelting possible. Some spots could be closer to that 3 inch mark towards the foothills and beyond interior york canton in southern Oxford counties once again where that flash flood watches and then dorsum through parts of new Hampshire. And so really got to lookout out for that flooding potential and you lot tin feel the humidity in the air as we head through these next few days. The humidity doesn't really improve a whole lot. We're going to stay muggy, we're gonna stay sticky and kind of yet experience those irritating conditions correct into the upcoming weekend and tomorrow. While the humidity sticks around, we actually see some warmer temperatures equally high as become dorsum Into the lower and Middle 80s. And then in the eight day forecast impact weather today because of those tropical downpours and heavy rain that's expected to come up downward at times and then a trivial brighter as we head towards Friday afternoon, a lilliputian warmer tomorrow also. Otherwise, all optics are on Henry as we caput towards Dominicus and Monday side by side calendar week for any potential impacts that nosotros could run across from that tropical system. And we'll keep you posted, of class, in the coming days.
